We care Ministry

We Care Ministry

The We Care Ministry is an outreach ministry for those in the congregation and for those in the community.

The We Care Ministry allows us the opportunity to reach out to those members who are ill at home or in the hospital. We minister to our “sick and shut-in” members through prayer and visitations, reminding them that although they are sick and shut-in, they are not “shut-out”. We are committed to letting the sick and shut-in members know that “We Care”.

Matthew 25:36 … I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

The We Care Ministry, mentors young ladies, giving gifts and encouragement to those in need, in making Blessing Bags for organizations and events, and Care Baskets for those that are sick, shut in, and elderly.

WE ENDEAVOR TO MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR CHURCH FAMILY THROUGH OUR CONGREGATIONAL CARE MINISTRY.

Our pastors, Deacons and volunteers are available to provide encouragement and assistance during difficult times through:
Phone calls and emails of encouragement
Visits to the home-bound, to hospitals and to convalescent facilities
Planning and conducting funerals and memorial services

Senior Citizen Ministry

Our Goal:

The goal of the Senior Citizen’s Ministry is to Strengthen, Encourage, Empower and Nurture the senior citizens of Christian Assembly Church and the community with TLC (Tender Loving Care). It is a spiritually enlightenment group for them to come together in worship and fellowship. The ministry delves into spiritual enrichment by sharing God’s word in friendship and fun; and, the ministry also addresses the physical and mental health of older adults as well as their safety and other measures of well-being.  We do so by providing speakers on various subjects such as diet and exercise, and tips on living a full and healthy life.

Mission Statement:

That we might exemplify the fruit of the Spirit ” But the fruit of the Spirit is love, peace, patient, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Gal 5:22, 23

We want to encourage those in our Fellowship who are 55 and over to participate in activities that foster spiritual growth and health, age-level educational pursuits, evangelistic outreach, and wholesome fellowship events.

Scripture:

They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green. Psalms 92:14 NIV
